New iPhone SE 3rd generation release date confirmed
Apple has confirmed the new iPhone SE third generation will go on sale in the UK on 18 March with pre orders opening on Friday.
Apple has revealed the on-sale date of the budget iPhone at an event today called Peek Performance after rumours of a new generation device hit the industry this month.
The phone uses the same A15 chip at the iPhone 13, the flagship model in the Apple range. The SE will faster and more advanced than the previous generation and models such as the iPhone 8.
It features three colours - midnight, starlight and product red. It comes with a protected display and the toughest glass in a smartphone on the front and back.
The SE is Apple's cheapest option and was first launched in 2016. It has now been two years since the launch of the second generation iPhone SE and a new model is now on the market.
The new iPhone SE is priced at £399 while the previous generation model has now dropped to £199.99 due to the launch of the new generation.
