New Haas F1 car hits the track for the very first time

Haas have sent their new car for the 2022 Formula 1 season, the VF22, out for its first run at the Catalunya circuit in Barcelona.

The team will be desperate to see an upturn in fortunes going into the new campaign after what was a dire 2021 season.

Indeed, it was always going to be difficult with them revealing the intention at the start of 2021 that they’d not be developing their car at all, with a view to putting full concentration into their new car with the sport’s new regulations in mind.

We’re getting close to finding out whether that decision has paid off, then, with the first round of F1 testing taking place this week at Barcelona, which is also where the Haas has had its first shakedown now ahead of that.
