New Celtic third kit 'leaked' by Adidas as fans given first glimpse at green pattern rebrand

Bemused Celtic fans have been caught off guard after Adidas gave them an early look at the new club's third kit for the 2023/24 campaign.

The kit manufacturer appears to have made a mistake by uploading the top on their website before the club were able to give the unveiling any fanfare with the "Celtic FC 23/24 Third Jersey" available to be purchased online now. The strip will set fans back £70 if they want to beat the crowd to snap up the mix of "vista green" and "beam green" colours.

The top also features a distinct pattern and is a major change from this season's third kit, which has caused controversy while being worn by Ange Postecoglou's champions. They Scottish Premiership clash with St Mirren was made difficult for views to watch due to the grey kit - and there looks to be no chance of a repeat next season.

It has received a mixed response from fans on social media, with one Celtic diehard on Twitter stating: "Honestly I'm not sure about it." Another added: "Looks like a training kit. Also not sure how it helps with clashes of colours being a third kit."

One confessed: "I think it’ll grow on me, I’m not keen on it right now." While a more positive punter wrote online: "It’s not the worst. I like the colours."
