'Nervous' Ally McCoist makes Rangers vs Celtic admission as Ibrox icon warns what cannot happen

Rangers icon Ally McCoist has told his former team they cannot afford to lose to Celtic when the pair clash in their title blockbuster on Sunday.

The 59-year-old admits the big one is in his head four days before the great rivals lock horns at Ibrox.

McCoist was quizzed by radio co-host Laura Woods about his current thinking ahead of Ange Postecoglou 's league leaders taking on Rangers.

A win for for Celtic would see them six points clear at the top and the club legend insists that's something Gio van Bronckhorst's side must make sure doesn't happen.

Speaking on talkSPORT, he didn't hide any pre-match butterflies, McCoist said: "Nervous, I'm always feeling this way around about Wednesday.

"Nothing between them at this moment in time, Celtic are obviously top of the league, I don't think it is a game Rangers can afford to be beaten in.
