Neil Etheridge issues update following flashpoint in Birmingham City’s loss to Nottingham Forest

Birmingham City goalkeeper Neil Etheridge has issued an update regarding his injury suffered against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Etheridge was involved in a collision with Forest’s Djed Spence on the hour mark, which the club would later confirm knocked their shot-stopper unconscious.

Now, speaking on Monday morning via social media, Neil Etheridge himself has issued the following message.

“Thank you for all the supporting get well messages.” Etheridge wrote on Instagram.

“Unfortunate circumstances that I had to come off but I will be fighting to come back soon.”

“Thankfully no fractures or breaks shown in the CT scan
