Nate Diaz goes after Charles Oliveira ahead of his UFC 274 fight against Justin Gaethje

UFC star Nate Diaz has taken a shot at Charles Oliveira ahead of this weekend’s huge UFC 274 main event.

There are very few genuine superstars in the Ultimate Fighting Championship but if you were going to list them, Nate Diaz would definitely have to feature. He may not be at the same level he was back in 2016, but the Stockton king still knows and understands how to get people talking about him.

His last outing inside the Octagon took place last summer when he fell to a unanimous decision defeat at the hands of Leon Edwards. Ever since then, he’s been teasing the idea of having another fight – which would serve as the final bout on his current UFC deal.

It’s no secret that he doesn’t have the best relationship with the promotion but he’s definitely open to proving himself against some of the very best, whether it be at welterweight or lightweight.

The champion of the latter division, Charles Oliveira, seems to have caught the eye of Diaz this week as the countdown to Saturday night’s mammoth PPV card in Phoenix continues.

In the following tweets, Diaz highlights footage of Oliveira suffering stoppage losses to Donald Cerrone and Anthony Pettis, two men Nate has beaten in the past.

This weekend, Charles Oliveira will attempt to cement his status as the best lightweight in the world.

He’ll do so by defending the strap against Justin Gaethje, the man who earned another crack at the gold by defeating Michael Chandler back at UFC 268.

Oliveira is viewed as the narrow favourite heading into the contest but as we all know, he’s been vulnerable to big shots in the past and ‘The Highlight’ is exactly the kind of foe who can give ‘Do Bronx’ problems in that department.
