Naomi Osaka & Iga Swiatek discuss ice cream in most heartwarming clip ever

A heartwarming clip of Naomi Osaka and Iga Swiatek arguing about ice cream flavours has resurfaced online, with the pair set to meet each other in the final of this year’s Miami Open.

Osaka, who received a wildcard for this tournament, has dropped just one set all tournament and served a record 18 aces in her semi-final against Belinda Bencic. 

Meanwhile, Swiatek is on a run of 16 consecutive victories and won the Qatar Open and Indian Wells last month. 

However, though tennis fans are hotly anticipating the clash between two of the sport’s most renowned stars, the pair are great friends and a video of the two joking on Instagram Live a couple of years ago has gone viral on Twitter again. 

During the Covid-19 enforced lockdown in 2020, Osaka and Swiatek chatted to each other on Instagram Live and some of the topics of conversation were hilarious. 

At one stage, Osaka asks the Polish star what her favourite Ice Cream flavour is, to which she responds: “Probably cookies and cream.” 

Osaka is not best pleased with that particular answer and disdainfully fires back with: “Why? Oh my god, why?”
