Nacho Novo to fight 'biggest' Rangers fan in boxing debut as Ibrox legend faces TikTok star at Hydro

As the celebrity and influencer boxing trend grows - and Nacho Novo is getting in on the act with his own bout at the Hydro.

The Rangers legend will step into the ring to take on TikTok "star" Caz Milligan at the OVO Hydro on Saturday August 10. Milligan has released a promo video for the fight, filmed at Ibrox, with the social media personality looking to cash on the boxing 'misfits' craze which has seen YouTubers take on each other, as well as ex-pro boxers in a bid to tap into a younger, online audience and the extra PPV cash they can generate.

Novo, who signed for Gers in 2004 and won six trophies over six years in Govan, said of the fight: "Twenty years ago I used to score goals for Rangers. Twenty years later, I'm fighting my biggest fan. Well, after what I have been passed through - lots of problems in my life, health problems, whatever happens in life you have to try push yourself to do whatever you want to do.

"I am excited for this event, I hope everybody will come and support me and I hope people enjoy." Milligan added: "Twenty years ago Novo was my highest goal scorer on FIFA. Twenty years later I am now fighting Nacho Novo.

"I'm doing this for the kids who have doubted, for those who have got a dream. I was once a kid with Novo 10 printed on my back. But now I am going to have the referee counting to 10 with Nacho Novo on his back."
