Murder investigation launched after man in his 30s stabbed to death in Altrincham - latest updates
A murder investigation was underway in Altrincham today after the death of a man aged in his 30s in the early hours, police have confirmed.
A 17-year-old boy was also taken to hospital with what police described as 'serious' injuries. Investigations are ongoing, but it's believed the man who died was stabbed.
No further information has been revealed as yet, but Greater Manchester Police are expected to provide an update later. Emergency services were called to Railway Street in the Goose Green area of Altrincham, Trafford, at around 3.30am on Sunday morning.

Witnesses at the scene reported two males were stabbed. Paramedics gave CPR to the man at the scene but it's understood he sadly died after being taken to hospital.
The man hasn't been named as yet.
One witness said: "Paramedics were seen giving CPR to at least one victim. There were at least 20 police vehicles there, including armed police."
Forensic investigations were continuing at the scene this morning, with a cordon in place. It's understood no arrests have been made.
