Munster Council to rule on venue for Cork and Kerry tie
The Munster Council of the GAA is expected to make a decision tonight regarding the switching of Cork's Munster SFC semi-final against Kerry from Pairc Ui Rinn to Fitzgerald Stadium in Killarney.
With Pairc Ui Chaoimh unavailable due to the staging of concerts by Ed Sheehan, Pairc Ui Rinn was designated to stage the game.
However, remedial work needed to increase the capacity at the venue is not expected to be completed in time to facilitate the fixture taking place.
Cork's management team strongly oppose the concession of home advantage and have informed the Cork County Board of their position.
Cork's Munster SHC game with Clare on April 30 will take place in Semple Stadium.
