Man City have 'tabled £246m offer' for Erling Haaland and more transfer rumours
Manchester City have reportedly laid down a transfer package worth almost £250m to Erling Haaland and Borussia Dortmund ahead of a potential summer transfer.
The Premier League champions have long been linked with a move for the Norwegian sensation. The 21-year-old is tipped to exit the German club at the end of the season with only a handful of clubs said to be in the running for his signature due to his enormous costs.
Real Madrid, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have been quietly touted as potential destinations but the overwhelming consensus is that, if he is to go anywhere, he will move to the Etihad. Haaland has a reported £63m release clause in his contract which could be activated this summer.

But the amount needed to sustain a transfer would be far higher. The striker - who has netted 80 goals in 84 Dortmund games - will command a huge wage. Nevertheless, Gianluca Di Marzio reports that City have attempted to meet these demands already. It's reported that they have offered Halland an annual £25m salary over five years, which totals £125m.
In addition to his £63m release clause, Mino Raiola - Haaland’s agent - is set for £58m in the proposal. It takes the total potential expenditure figure up to £246m.
Meanwhile, reports in Poland are claiming Robert Lewandowski has agreed to join Barcelona on a three-year contract. Interia Sport says he is due to arrive at the Nou Camp this summer in a multi-million-pound deal.
City were once linked to the 33-year-old before Haaland burst onto the scene. Lewandowski’s Bayern exit may muddy the waters in Pep Guardiola’s pursuit of the Dortmund youngster.
