Mum's clever pumpkin carving hack which saves the mess and hassle of Halloween

With this in mind, a TikTok user has shared a video showing a simple and clever Halloween hack which cuts out the mess and hassle of pumpkin carving in just a few ingenious steps.

In the video, The Hands-On Family prepare their pumpkin by cutting around the stem and removing its top to open it up. Next, they recommend using an electric whisk to loosen the stringy innards and scoop out the messy pulp and seeds.

Next, they use different shaped cookie cutters to make the eyes and mouth of the pumpkin, with the boy in the video opting for star-shaped eyes and a bat-shaped mouth. If the cutter does not easily break through the pumpkin skin, a hammer or other household object can be used to knock it further in with a little force before being easily removed.
