Mum 'horrified' to discover holes in walls of family changing rooms in sports centre

A mum has spoken of her horror after discovering holes big enough to see through in the walls of a family changing room.

Leoni Jade Smalley took her three-year-old daughter to the Lancashire leisure centre when she made the worrying find. Leoni's daughter spotted the holes in the changing room wall.

The pair decided to see if they could see each other through the circular holes - and were shocked to discover that they could. "I put the camera from my phone through the hole and I could see my child's body," Leoni explained to LancsLive.

She soon found out the staff didn't know of the holes in the family changing room walls, but Leoni says they were "not bothered in the slightest" upon hearing the news. She added: "She said [staff member] well I don't know, I don't go down there.

"I said well there's holes in the wall and she just said, well I don't know I'll just have to tell the manager." Leoni, also the mum of a five-year-old boy says she took her family there a long time ago, but there were no holes there at the time.

Hyndburn Sports Centre have stated the 'screw holes' were left over from the baby change unit which had been removed after it was deemed unsafe. "As I walked out, I kept looking around and they didn't even get up to go
