Moyes must now brutally axe "despicable" £43k-p/w West Ham liability, he's "terrible" - opinion

West Ham United are hoping to cash in on Arthur Masuaku in the summer transfer window.

That’s according to a claim made by Claret & Hugh, with the West Ham insider revealing in a recent post that, despite having two years remaining on his current deal at the London Stadium, David Moyes is hoping to move the left-back on at the end of the season.

Claret & Hugh go on to state that the Hammers value the defender around the £5m mark, although the insider suggests that an offer of almost any amount would likely see the 28-year-old depart east London this summer.

These returns have seen the £43k-per-week man who Moyes once labelled “despicable” average a disappointing SofaScore match rating of just 6.82, ranking him as the Hammers’ 11th-worst performer in the top flight of English football.

Furthermore, the 28-year-old endured what was possibly his worst performance in a West Ham shirt in the 3-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur last time out, with Masuaku earning an extremely poor SofaScore match rating of just 6.1 for his efforts against the Hammers’ London rivals.

As such, when taking into account
