Motorcyclist who died in tragic early hours crash named
A 46-year-old motorcyclist who died in an early morning crash in Salford has been named as Daniel Broughton. Emergency services were called to the scene of the smash on the A57 Liverpool Road, near to Barton Airport, just before 6am on March 16.
A car and a motorbike, being driven by Daniel Broughton, collided, with Daniel tragically dying at the scene. The driver of the car - a Ford Fiesta - remained at the scene to talk to police.
The road was cordoned off for several hours and was shut between Port Salford Way and Stadium Way. A Ford car with a smashed front was pictured at the scene.

An inquest into Mr Broughton's death was opened at Bolton Coroners Court today.
Officers appealed for anyone with information to come forward. They particularly want to speak to anyone who has dashcam footage of the crash.
