Motherwell fans roar Scottish Cup hopefuls on at training with huge banner and flares

Motherwell fans have made it known to the Fir Park players what Sunday's Scottish Cup clash with Hibs means to them with an impressive training display.

Supporters gathered in numbers to greet Graham Alexander 's men at Dalziel Park as the 'Well boss walked his players through their final preparations for quarter-final battle.

What met them was a raft of claret and amber, with flares and smoke bombs set off as they made their way out.

The demonstration was organised by the club's singing section, which occupies itself in the John Hunter Stand at Fir Park.

Alexander's side haven't won in 10 Premiership games this year but they have managed to secure two victories in the Scottish Cup against Morton and Aberdeen.

Victory over Hibs on Sunday would book a trip to Hampden for the first time since 2018's Scottish Cup final defeat to Celtic.

It's a repeat of last year's quarter-final tie, where a Ryan Porteous penalty sent the Easter Road side through to the last four on spot-kicks after a 2-2 draw over 120 minutes.

Atmosphere will likely be high in Motherwell when kick-off commences, with hopes that the 8,000 attendance mark will be hit for the 12:30pm match, which will also be televised by the BBC.
