Morrisons issues urgent food product recall amid SALMONELLA warning
A Morrisons food item has been recalled by the major supermarket because of the presence of salmonella, says the Food Standards Agency.
Morrisons Spanish chorizo ring is being recalled by the supermarket giant because it contains salmonella, the Food Standards Agency has reported. The product details given on the agency's website read: 'Pack size - 200g. Best before - December 8, 2023'.
Symptoms caused by salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps. Morrisons is recalling the above product and has issued point-of-sale notices to its customers, starting today (September 15).

The customer notice by Morrisons says: "What’s happened? As a precautionary measure, Morrisons is recalling the above date code of this product as there is a risk it may contain salmonella.
"What you need to do? Please do not eat this product and return it to your nearest store for a full refund. We don’t need a receipt.
"No other products are affected by this issue. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety."
