Morrisons issue urgent recall for product as it is 'potentially unsafe to eat'

An urgent recall notice has been issued for Morrisons Crushed Garlic due to a key ingredient being omitted.

The supermarket is recalling its product due to the absence of an ingredient, which it says prevents microbiological growth.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) says the lack of the ingredient makes the product "potentially unsafe to eat". No other Morrisons products are known to be affected.

In a notice on its website, the FSA said: "Morrisons is recalling the above product. Point of sale notices will be displayed in stores wherethe product was sold. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalledand tell them what to do if they have bought the product."

Any customers who have the 75g packets and a best before date of October 19, 2025, are advised not to eat it. Instead they can return it to the store where they bought it, with or without a receipt, and receive a full refund.
