Morgan Gibbs-White sends Nottingham Forest warning ahead of Sheffield United clash

Morgan Gibbs-White has warned Nottingham Forest that Sheffield United are the team to be feared in the play-offs this season, with the two sides going head to head this weekend in their first leg of the semi final.

The Blades and Forest have had pretty similar seasons in the sense that they started slowly, opted to change manager during the campaign, and then picked up enough to achieve a play-off qualifying finish in the league.

Only one, though, can make the final at Wembley where they’ll play either Luton Town or Huddersfield Town and this tie promises to be a potential cracker over the two legs.

Saturday sees them meet for leg one, then, and Gibbs-White has warned Forest that they should be fearing the Blades, when speaking in the pre-match press conference on Thursday afternoon:

#sufc MGW on facing #NFFC: “I wouldn’t say there is a favourite. We are definitely more hungrier and with the form we are in right now we are the team to be feared.”

The Verdict

These two matches between Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest could be really entertaining.

Both sides have lots of attacking talent to call upon and so it’s fair to say that both will have to respect the threat that the other carries.

Gibbs-White has had a fine season, meanwhile, and he’ll be looking forward to trying to deliver on his word and give Forest nightmares on Saturday.
