Monaco GP: Red Bull's Sergio Perez's incredible reactions after bird flies across track

The 2022 Formula 1 season has already played host to some fantastic and shocking moments, with the Monaco GP this past weekend not disappointing on all fronts.

The start of the race itself was delayed due to extreme weather in the form of heavy rainfall, which impaired visibility and changed track conditions drastically.

Sergio Perez crossed the line on Sunday to win the Monaco Grand Prix, with Carlos Sainz coming second and teammate Max Verstappen rounding out the podium places.

With seven races in the books, the Formula 1 Drivers’ Championship for the 2022 season is currently a three-horse race.

Red Bull’s Verstappen leads the way with 125 points, while Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and teammate Perez are in second and third place, with 116 and 110 points respectively.

As for the Constructers Championship, Red Bull lead the way with a whopping 236 points, while Ferrari and Mercedes languish in second and third on 199 and 134 points respectively.

The most shocking thing about the 2022 season so far is the form of Mercedes and their star man, Lewis Hamilton with both in a rather unexpected crisis.

After controversially missing out on the 2021 Drivers’ crown and denying him a record eighth world championship, it hasn’t got any better for the sport’s most successful driver.

The Briton finished in eighth place at Monaco and currently is sixth in the Drivers Championship with bang on 50 points and showing no signs of recovering at this stage.

However, his teammate in George Russell has impressed in a difficult Mercedes car this year, as he sits fourth in the Drivers’ Championship on 84 points, just a single point ahead of Carlos Sainz in fifth.
