Moment fans go crazy at Cole Palmer's local after Wythenshawe star scores

Video footage captured the moment England fans erupted at Cole Palmer's local pub, after the Wythenshawe star scored just minutes after entering the pitch.

The 22-year-old equalised for England close to 75 minutes into the tense game, taking the score to 1-1 against Spain at the Euro 2024 final clash.

Supporters down at the Black Boy, Palmer's local in Wythenshawe and where he grew up, were sent absolutely wild, with crowds jumping, throwing drinks and cheering in scenes of sheer elation.

The venue 'exploded with local joy' after the goal, with fans left 'in shock' and in a 'sense of disbelief'.

Reporter Richard Cusack captured the scenes perfectly, saying: "This place is in shock. Nobody can believe it. What are the chances of that? But it's clear now that it will be a mere footnote of history if England don't build on that and get this job done. Everyone around me is in disbelief. Genuinely stunned."

As reporter Aidan McCartney added: "The Black Boy just exploded with local joy as Cole ‘Cold’ Palmer struck home the equaliser. It’s sense of disbelief and emotion as Palmer brings England back into the game. Here’s hoping there is more to come."
