Moment brazen topless looter waltzes out of Greggs with entire tray of food during riots

A brazen rioter was captured on film as he broke into a Greggs and walked out with a tray of goods during the riots in Hull on Saturday (August 3).

Footage posted to X, formerly Twitter, shows the moment one bare-chested man and a second, clad in a blue t-shirt, fling heavy objects at the glass window of a Greggs bakery.

The two can be seen taking turns attempting to break into the shop, with the alarm heard blaring as they are cheered on by bystanders, reports the Mirror.

They are later joined by a third, balaclava-wearing man, as they attract the attention of a crowd, members of which push on the broken window as they continue to try and gain entry.

Pictures taken after the act show the bare-chested man wading through Greggs stock thrown on the floor clutching a blue tray.

Bystanders recorded the group as violence erupted in Hull over the weekend, with police attending massive disruption in the city caused by far-right rioters. More than 90 arrests were made as the unrest spread across the country, with multiple shops looted as groups took advantage of the chaos.

Humberside Police confirmed on Monday that 29 people were arrested in the city alone between Saturday and Sunday, with Assistant Chief Constable Thom McLoughlin dubbing the events involving people who "attempted to tear our communities apart" as "utterly senseless". Police confirmed that they are studying footage circulating on social media as they anticipate additional arrests.
