Mohamed Salah's brutal reaction to sending Kepa the wrong way in Carabao Cup shootout

Liverpool carved out another joyful chapter in their modern history as they clinched the Carabao Cup on a dramatic night at Wembley.

In a titanic battle under the famous London arch, Jurgen Klopp’s side just about managed to hold Chelsea at bay while the Blues had plenty of defending of their own to do.

It proved to be one of the most entertaining goalless draws you could ever hope to see with several goals disallowed by the VAR, countless fantastic saves by the goalkeepers, and a bit of niggle here and there between the highly-charged players.

You can hardly blame him for trying to get the psychological edge as shootouts can be a game of fine margins but sadly, from a Chelsea perspective, it simply didn’t work.

Klopp’s ‘mentality monsters’ were able to step up, block everything out and get the job done – a steel perhaps best demonstrated by none other than Mohamed Salah.
