Mohamed Salah’s agent rubbishes rumours of Saudi Arabia switch

Mohamed Salah’s agent has rubbished speculation that the Liverpool striker could follow in the footsteps of several former team-mates by making a big-money move to the Saudi Arabian Pro League this summer.

The arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo has been the catalyst for a growing influx of big-name players to the Saudi top flight, with the likes of Karim Benzema, Sadio Mane, N’Golo Kante and Riyah Mahrez all agreeing to deals in recent months.

No less than three players have swapped Liverpool for Saudi Arabia during this time. Roberto Firmino joined Al-Ahli after his contract expired, Fabinho was sold to Al-Ittihad, and Jordan Henderson linked up with Reds legend Steven Gerrard at El-Ittifaq.

Saudi clubs have also featured in two of the summer’s biggest transfer sagas – Kylian Mbappe and Harry Kane – but it appears one man who has no interest in ditching the Premier League for the Pro League is Salah.

The Egyptian hitman has scored 186 goals in 305 appearances for Liverpool since arriving from Roma in 2017, and his goals have played a key role in the Red enjoying Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup success during his stint.

Salah has also earned individual honours during his superb run with the Reds, winning the PFA Player of the Year twice and the Premier League Golden Boot for the top goalscorer on three occasions.
