Moffi wins Europa Conference League Goal of the Week award

Super Eagles of Nigeria striker Terem Moffi, who plays for French Ligue 1 club OGC Nice, has won the UEFA Europa Conference League Goal of the Week award.

Moffi’s spectacular goal against Basel was announced as the best on UEFA’s Europa Conference League Twitter handle on Friday.

The 23-year-old scored Nice’s two goals as they held Basel to a 2-2 draw away in the Europa Conference League quarter-final first-leg tie.

After scoring to put the score at 1-1, Moffi then got the second goal late in the first half as he connected to a cross with a bicycle kick past Basel keeper.

The former Lorient finished ahead of three other players who were nominated for the award.

He has now scored three goals in three appearances in this season’s Europa Conference League.
