Mo Salah & Vivianne Miedema star in brilliant new Adidas advert

Adidas has released one of its most interesting adverts yet and it features two of the biggest football stars on the planet.

The brand has teamed up with popular animated television show Rick and Morty to promote the all-new X SPEEDPORTAL boot, with help from superstars Mohamed Salah and Vivianne Miedema.

The two iconic forwards have been transformed into cartoon versions of themselves to showcase the concept of multidimensional speed.

In the clip, Morty drops onto a football pitch alongside Salah and Miedema. The three team up to produce a footballing masterclass and Morty, with the help of the new boots, scores the winning goal to win the cup.

It’s a crossover that few fans ever expected to see, and yet it’s a piece of brilliance.

Supporters of both the men’s and women’s game are loving the new advert and have taken to social media to rave about it.

Another fan said it was “crossover I never knew I needed.”

Liverpool fans are giving a lot of love to Salah, who has been one of the team’s most important assets in recent years.

The Egyptian international helped the Reds win their first ever Premier League title in 2020, as well as the Champions League, FA Cup and Super Cup, to name just a few.

Salah has won three Golden Boots with Liverpool and is ninth in the club’s all-time top goalscorers list with 156 in 254 appearances.

Other social media users are more surprised by the new collaboration, which isn’t an odd way to respond to the unexpected creation.

“Mo Salah x Rick & Morty is not something I had down on my bingo card,” one wrote.

Even an Arsenal men’s supporter admitted they
