MMA veteran has warning for Tom Aspinall before UFC London

Tom Aspinall will be heading back to the octagon this weekend as part of the UFC London card in the main event against Curtis Blaydes.

The British Heavyweight fighter enters the cage as the favourite, with the UFC site giving him -130 odds over +110 for Blaydes.

Now, an MMA veteran has given the UK star a warning ahead of his fight against the #4 ranked fighter in the division.

Here’s what an MMA veteran had to say with regards to the upcoming UFC London bout between Tom Aspinall and Curtis Blaydes.

Speaking on his The Schaub Show podcast (via Sportskeeda), Brendan Schaub warned Aspinall against taking Blaydes’ Brazilian Ju-Jitsu skills lightly.

He said: “I can’t emphasize enough how awful a matchup this is for Tom… I know he’s (Aspinall) a black belt. I get all that. Forget about your black belt. 

“Curtis Blaydes eats your black belt for f***ing breakfast… If he pulls it off, dude, I will f***in tell you right now. If he beats Curtis Blaydes, the chances of him being champion are highly likely.

“This is by far his biggest test. He should look at this like a championship fight. Because if you beat Curtis Blaydes in your hometown, there couldn’t be a worse matchup for you. You beat him, you finish Curtis Blaydes, we’re going f***ing sizzler.”

This Heavyweight contest is extremely intriguing on paper, and hopefully it will live up to the height inside the octagon.
