Minecraft gets Buzz Lightyear DLC

Thanks to some new DLC that’s currently available in the blocky game’s marketplace, Disney’s new Lightyear movie arrived in Minecraft this week. 

This DLC includes a couple of missions that guide players through Buzz Lightyear’s tale, as well as vehicles and character skins that will appear familiar to anyone who has watched the new film. This new DLC for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition is now available, albeit it is not yet available on all platforms where Bedrock is.

This Lightyear DLC, which is currently available for purchase on the Minecraft Marketplace, includes a total of five-story missions. 

According to the listing, it costs 1,340 Minecraft Coins, which works out to a maximum of $9.99 / £8,15 if you don’t have any Minecraft Coins and need to replenish your wallet.

“In the Lightyear DLC, you get to play through Buzz’s origin story and help him navigate an alien planet after an unfortunate crash landing,” writes Cristina Anderca in a post on Minecraft.net. “You can play through five missions as this Academy-trained hero, including a hostile jungle, a swamp and a mine, as well as various alien settlements.”

The Bedrock Edition of the game is required to access the DLC. To elaborate, players on Windows, iOS, and Linux must use the cross-platform version rather than the vanilla version. Once on board, you can purchase the DLC for 1,340 Minecraft Coins in the marketplace. You can also pay $9.99 / £8,15 for the correct number of coins.
