Millwall 0-3 Swansea City: Swans secure back-to-back wins after mauling Lions at The Den

Swansea City secured back-to-back Championship wins for the first time under Michael Duff with a thumping win over Millwall at The Den.

Goals from Jamal Lowe, Matt Grimes and Mykola Kuharevich proved enough to hand the Swans victory in south London and further ease the early pressure on boss Duff. As with the victory over Sheffield Wednesday last week, Lowe put the visitors in front midway inside the first half from the spot after Jerry Yates had been clearly hauled down in the Millwall penalty area. A second successful spot kick in as many attempts, and this contest would follow a similarly dominant pattern in south London.

Captain Grimes rattled in a second just before the hour, before substitute Kuharevich headed home his first ever Swansea goal late on.

After coming under fire for much of his reign, Swans boss Duff may well feel this performance, arguably the best of his tenure so far, will have helped answer a few critics, having previously overseen the club's worst start to a league season for more than 30 years.

Duff was forced into several changes for this clash, with Nathan Wood and Josh Ginnelly picking up long-term injuries in that win over the Owls last week, and his concerns have perhaps been deepened by the news that Kristian Pedersen has also found himself on the treatment table.

Nevertheless, his side started positively from the off at The Den, dominating the ball for much of the opening 10 minutes, although they admittedly initially struggled to turn possession into clear-cut chances.
