Middlesbrough supporters are in agreement with the club this summer on key transfer decisions

Middlesbrough have big plans for the summer transfer window, with manager Chris Wilder open about his plans to improve the squad for a promotion challenge. And when it comes to issues such as the value of Djed Spence, whether to sell any other players, how many players are needed and in what positions, supporters are in agreement with the plans the club have in place.

We surveyed Boro fans at the end of the season on many issues and talking points, a lot of which was naturally leaning towards the summer transfer window and what needed to be done. The Big Boro Summer Survey was met with a great response from Boro fans letting us know their thoughts for the summer ahead.

Boro already have three new arrivals having added Liam Roberts, Ryan Giles and Darragh Lenihan but there are plans for many more. Wilder has suggested he could need as many as ten new faces this summer, with at the very least another new goalkeeper and three strikers top of his priority list.

And the results of our survey show Boro fans are in agreement with the ambition of the Boro boss, as of the responders opined that Boro will need more than five signings this summer. And asked what the priority positions to strengthen were, said striker while went with goalkeeper, leaving very few votes for the other positions. It follows a season that saw Boro's goalkeepers under-perform while none of the strikers managed to reach double figures for goals scored.
