Mickey Graham set to succeed Andy Moran as Leitrim manager

Former Ulster SFC winning manager Mickey Graham is set to take over as Leitrim manager, after the county's management committee approved his appointment this evening.

Leitrim GAA confirmed in a statement that the intention was that Graham would hold the position for three years, subject to review.

Graham had been part of the Leitrim management team for the 2024 season, during which the county secured promotion to Division 3. Last month, manager Andy Moran stepped aside at the end of his three-year stint and now the highly experienced Graham has stepped into the manager's role.

The Cavan native - who as a player was a member of the 1997 Ulster winning side - made his name as a manager when he famously guided tiny north Longford club Mullinalaghta to a Leinster club title in 2018, defeating Kilmacud Crokes in the provincial decider.

He subsequently was installed as Cavan manager, where he solidified his reputation as a manufacturer of fairytales, guiding them to their first Ulster title in 23 years in 2020, beating Donegal in the final.
