Michael Schumacher 'seen in public for first time in over a decade' as daughter Gina gets married

Michael Schumacher, the Formula 1 legend, has reportedly been seen in public for the first time in many years at his daughter's wedding.

Gina-Maria married Iain Bethke last Saturday in a glamorous ceremony at the family's villa in Majorca, with German media outlets reporting that Michael was present to witness the celebrations.

Schumacher continues to require constant medical care following his life-altering skiing accident over a decade ago, where he hit his head on a rock while skiing in the French Alps. Despite surviving the crash, the seven-time F1 champion spent several months in a medically induced coma.

Since being allowed to return to the family home on Lake Geneva in September 2014, he has been cared for by his devoted wife Corinna and a team of medics. Corinna, who is fiercely protective of her husband's privacy, has only permitted a select few trusted friends and relatives to visit him, with only a handful of people said to be aware of the details of his condition and care.

However, Michael's presence at his daughter's wedding may indicate a shift in the family's stance. Although he had previously been flown from the family home to their Majorcan villa, this occasion was different as he appeared in front of all the other wedding guests.
