Michael Owen's Premier League final day predictions including title race & top four battle

Michael Owen has made his predictions for the final day of the Premier League season as Manchester City and Liverpool battle for the title and Leeds United and Burnley bid to avoid relegation.

The English top-flight is set for a tense finale as title rivals Man City and Liverpool go into the last round of fixtures separated by just one point.

Victory for Manchester City against Aston Villa would see Pep Guardiola’s side win their fourth title in five years, but a slip-up would open the door to Liverpool, providing they beat Wolves.

Leeds United will join Watford and Norwich City in the Championship next season if they lose to Brentford but a win or a draw will pull Burnley into the drop zone unless the Clarets pick up points against Newcastle United.

The top-four battle is technically still alive but fifth-placed Arsenal need to beat Everton and hope north London rivals Tottenham lose to bottom-placed Norwich to sneak into fourth.

Elsewhere, Manchester United and West Ham are in a battle for Europa League football – the Red Devils travel to Crystal Palace and the Hammers visit Brighton – while third-placed Chelsea host Watford.

With so much at stake at the top and bottom of the Premier League, it should be a fascinating final day and former England striker and BetVictor ambassador Owen is on hand to give his predictions.

I can’t believe what’s happened to Arsenal in recent weeks. Fourth place has been in their hands for most of the season, so to let it slip this late in the season is hugely disappointing. The performance against Newcastle was shocking, there was no desire or energy whatsoever. You would have thought Newcastle were the team chasing the top four.

That was an unbelievable result for Everton on Thursday.
