Michael Duff to Swansea City Live: Updates as Swans close in on Barnsley boss as Russell Martin replacement
It's been a long time coming, but it seems we're closing in on a new era at Swansea City.
Russell Martin's long-awaited move to Southampton was finally rubber-stamped on Wednesday evening, and it appears the club already have a successor lined up.
Michael Duff is now expected to become the new Swans boss, with the club already holding discussions over a move to the Swansea.com Stadium.
It's not yet clear if the club have triggered Duff's release clause, understood to be around £500,000, but all the indications suggest that the Northern Irishman will make the move to south Wales ahead of the new season.
Swansea's players are set to return to pre-season training on Friday, before heading out to Spain over the weekend for a training camp.
There's every chance Duff could well be confirmed as Swansea's new boss before the week is through, so we may well see some movement today.
