Michael Chandler's celebrations after Tony Ferguson KO were wild

Nothing beats a UFC PPV card. They’re always full of many twists and turns, as well as sheer drama to boot.

The same can be said for last weekend’s action.

In the main event, Charles Oliveira defeated Justin Gaethje via first-round submission. In the co-main event, Carla Esparza became the new strawweight champion after defeating Rose Namajunas via split decision. 

However, it’s fair to say that the co-main event will go down as one of the worst title fights in the history of the sport.

With that being said, it was Michael Chandler’s performance that caught the eye of many across the globe.

‘Iron’ Mike faced UFC lightweight veteran Tony Ferguson in a 15-minute showdown. 

Luckily, the judges weren’t needed on this occasion. The first round saw Tony start on the front foot and he was able to drop Michael early on.

After starting off slow, Chandler was able to control proceedings towards the end of the round by securing a takedown and landing some nasty ground and pound strikes.

However, the fight was over quickly in the second.

Chandler perfectly executed a front kick to the face of Ferguson to secure a jaw-dropping knockout win.

Michael’s post-fight celebration was just as entertaining as the knockout finish. 

The former Bellator lightweight champion opted to pull off several backflips as his adrenalin was through the roof. 

As well as his celebration, Chandler also delivered on the microphone. He decided to call out both Oliveira and Gaethje, as well as propose a welterweight showdown against Conor McGregor.

After Oliveira missed weight on Friday, it meant that only Gaethje could win the vacant title last weekend.
