Michael Chandler calls Dustin Poirier' insecure' after UFC 276 scuffle

UFC star Michael Chandler has called out lightweight rival Dustin Poirier following their altercation at UFC 276.

Last Saturday night’s UFC 276 event was a solid success for the promotion with another great gate, plenty of celebrity appearances and a parade of world class mixed martial artists putting on a show.

The majority of those fighters competed inside the Octagon but as it turns out, there were a couple of well-known faces that took their beef to the seats of T-Mobile Arena.

In footage that was released by UFC welterweight Gilbert Burns, Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler had to be separated by security as a result of a scuffle that broke out between them.

Many seem to have corroborated that Poirier was unhappy with Chandler, which may have had something to do with the constant back and forth they’ve had with one another on social media recently.

The two 155-pound stand-outs eventually cooled off but in the following tweet, ‘Iron Mike’ sent a fairly obvious indirect message to ‘The Diamond’.

“Simple truth in life – you aren’t yourself when you’re that thirsty. Keep your cool, be a professional, especially in public. Your insecurities are showing.”
