Michael Carrick press conference LIVE Man United injury updates vs Aston Villa
Manchester United interim head coach Michael Carrick will conduct his pre-match press conference this afternoon ahead of the visit of Aston Villa.
United return to Premier League action this weekend following another long break. The Reds lost 2-1 to Newcastle last week as their Champions League qualification hopes took a blow. A victory over Villa would cement their place in third and open up a gap between themselves and Unai Emery's team.
United are expected to be without a few players despite the break. Lisandro Martinez is unlikely to return on Sunday as his recovery from a calf injury continues. Martinez, Matthijs de Ligt and Patrick Dorgu were all spotted at Carrington this week but were not involved in team training.
Mason Mount appeared to be absent too having been out with a knock since the start of February. Noussair Mazraoui picked up an injury at Newcastle but returned to training on Wednesday.

The aforementioned players might not have been in training this week, but one player who was is JJ Gabriel.
The 15-year-old has been a revelation for the Under-18s this season but is ineligible to play in the Premier League or for the Under-21s in Premier League 2 until next season, as he was only 14 when the season began.
That means we won't get to see him in first-team action anytime soon, but there's clearly a lot of excitement around the youngster.
As well as his thoughts on Scholes' comment, Carrick will also be asked to give a team news update ahead of Sunday's clash.
Lisandro Martinez, Patrick Dorgu, Matthijs de Ligt and Mason Mount are all expected to be absent for the game. It was hoped Mount would be fit in time to face Villa but he was not spotted in training
