Michael Beale eviscerated by Sunderland fans in Rangers deja vu as sacking calls ring out after just SEVEN games

Sunderland fans have demanded that Michael Beale is sacked - just three months after he was shown the door by Rangers.

The Englishman has taken over at the Stadium of Light after Tony Mowbray's successful spell with the club chasing the promotion play-off spots - but things have quickly turned sour for the Londoner. The promotion momentum has fallen away for Beale and after just seven games in charge chants from the stands could be heard calling for the boss to be shown the door.

Liverpool star Fabio Carvalho grabbed the winner for Hull City in the second half of the English Championship showdown - with the Sunderland supporters chanting "You’re getting sacked in the morning…" at the struggling boss. Beale has lost three in a row and four of his seven games in charge and the team were booed off to chants of "We want Beale out" as they dropped out of the play-off spots.

Beale was eviscerated by furious fans on social media for the lacklustre showing against a play-off rival. One raging punter chimed in: "The sooner Michael Beale leaves my football club the better. Shambles of an appointment."

Another said on X: "Michael Beale might actually be the worst football manager of all time. genuinely can’t think of anyone I’ve even seen do worse."

Beale was shown the door by Rangers last October as he brought the curtain down on a 10 month stint in charge. He failed to win a trophy during his tenure - but enjoyed more success as Steven Gerrard's trusted lieutenant.
