Metal Gear Solid Remake: Leaks Reveal Game is in Development

Metal Gear Solid was originally released for PlayStation One in 1998, and now a leak has revealed that the Remake for the game may already be in development.

Although not the first game in the Metal Gear series, Solid would become the entry point for many fans of the franchise, and it looks as though gamers from newer generations will now be able to enjoy the espionage action.

Whilst the leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, they appear to be from an insider with information on the (hopefully) upcoming game.

Here’s everything you need to know about the recent leaks regarding Metal Gear Solid Remake and what may be coming.

A user on the r/GamingLeaksandRumours subreddit, u/FJaeger58041, made claims on the forum that they had inside information on the Remake.

They wrote: “Not much I can say without someone at risk, nor do I have online credibility. Posting on a throwaway account.

“Bluepoint was originally at the helm but is now handed off to another support studio. Sony wants this to be the next ‘benchmark’ for VR games across all platforms. Can be played fully without VR as a stand-alone remake. One of the first examples of a ‘AAA title that can be experienced in both VR and non-VR’ that PlayStation wants to accomplish.”

The ‘leaker’ also revealed the following with regards to what players can apparently expect when it comes to features in the Metal Gear Solid Remake:

“Again to be transparent there’s no reason to believe anything here, but I’ve been told direct details from someone who is very close to the project. From what I’ve heard it sounds like a new leap/standard for VR.”
