Met Office weekend weather forecast as flood warnings put in place in some parts of UK
While many parts of the UK are set to get drier over the weekend, others have been warned of an increased chance of flooding.
It comes after a majority of the country has seen frequent and consistent rainfall in the previous few days. According to the Met Office, Friday will see patches of rain throughout which will slowly clearout as the day progresses.
This will will result in a number of sunny spells throughout different parts with average temperatures expected for this time of year. By Friday Evening, showers are expected to mostly dry out, making for clear and cold night skies with frost expected in the early hours.

Temperatures on Saturday will start off chilly with a mix of clouds and sunny intervals throughout. But some rain is expected in more northern parts of the UK, especially Scotland, which will be accompanied by light winds.
Long-range forecasts for Sunday show an increased chance of rain, mainly in eastern parts of the UK. However, light winds are expected to remain undisturbed with consistently average temperatures throughout.
It comes as the Environmental Agency updated its flood forecast for the coming days, warning that parts of Dorset and Wiltshire could see local flooding from groundwater. Meanwhile, Norfolk has been warned of coastal/tidal flooding on Friday being possible, but not widely expected.
Overall, flooding risk remains very flow on Friday and is non-existent throughout most of the weekend, according to current warnings.
