Messi, Salah, no Ronaldo: The best-paid footballer from every continent

On June 22, 2022, Sadio Mane joined Bayern Munich in a £35m move from Liverpool.

The Senegalese international was given a substantial pay-rise.

He was believed to be earning ‘just’ £100,000-per-week at Liverpool. Bayern are now paying him £250,000-per-week, per the Mirror.

That made him the highest-paid African footballer in the world.

He didn’t hold that title for long, though.

Just nine days after Mane joined Bayern, Mohamed Salah signed a lucrative three-year deal at Liverpool.

Per the Daily Mail, The Egyptian winger is now earning £400,000-per-week at the Premier League giants, considerably more than what Mane is earning at Bayern.
