Merson names current Arsenal star who could ‘save the club £70m’
Paul Merson has claimed that Gabriel Martinelli could “save Arsenal £70m” if he successfully transitions into a striker before the summer.

Martinelli has performed well when given the chance this season. He has been involved in six goals from his 14 Premier League appearances.
Arsenal have been encouraged to test Martinelli out as a striker before the end of the season.
Merson spoke about Martinelli when giving his prediction for their midweek game against Wolves (via Sportskeeda). He believes the Brazillian “has what it takes” to be an asset if he leads the line for Arsenal:
“Wolves are the Premier League’s dark horses at the moment. They’re winning football matches, and they could push for a top-four finish by winning their games in hand,” Merson said.
“If United and Spurs win their games, Wolves and Arsenal cannot afford to fall behind. This is a massive Premier League match for both teams.
