'Mentally, I'm unwell': Dad, 27, found dead in bed weeks after fiancée gives birth to their second child

A young dad was found dead in bed just weeks after his fiancée gave birth to their second child.

Touching tributes are being paid to Rhyddion Williams, who was just 27. Heath bosses, meanwhile, said they were 'reviewing the circumstances in line with our usual procedure'.

Mother-of-two Chelsea Sterio, 24, said she found the father of her children dead - then went on to discover he had written 'mentally, I'm unwell' in permanent marker pen on his workbench in a shed at their home. Paying tribute to him, she said he put everyone before himself.

Chelsea said her fiancé had been dealing with depression and anxiety on and off for years and his mental state had worsened in the weeks following their daughter's birth. She claimed Rhyddion, from Port Talbot, Wales, also dealt with addiction problems as a result of his mental health issues and had been taking prescription medications.

The mother-of-two said her fiancé was also diagnosed with ADHD and took medication for this condition, reports Wales Online.

Chelsea and Rhyddion had been a couple for four years and shared two daughters together. Their eldest daughter, Freya-Harper Williams, is three, and their youngest, Florrie-Mae Williams, is just nine weeks old.

"I gave birth eight weeks ago and his mental health was not good. He was calling the doctors and they were just prescribing him more tablets without seeing him. He struggled with depression and anxiety and he went downhill three years ago. But then he was fine compared to what he had been," said Chelsea.
