Meite, Ejaria and Dann - The 18 Reading FC stars on pre-season training camp at St George's Park

Reading FC boss Paul Ince has taken a squad of 18 players on a pre-season training camp to St George's Park in Staffordshire this week as part of preparations for the new season.

Royals, who kicked off their pre-season fixture list with a 2-0 victory over Colchester United on Saturday, will spend the next five days at the training base which is primarily used by England's teams.

Ince's side then take on Benfica in their second friendly of the summer on Saturday afternoon (4pm kick-off).

The squad includes new signings Joe Lumley, Dean Bouzanis and Tom Ince, while a number of trialists are also likely to form part of training.

George Puscas is not part of the group as he has been afforded extra time off having finished the season later due to Pisa's play-off exploits and then going on international duty with Romania. Liam Moore is also absent as he is sidelined with a knee injury.

Jeriel Dorsett, Mamadi Camara, Nelson Abbey and Michael Craig are among the U23s players who have stayed at Bearwood Park.
