Meghan Markle won't return to UK even if Prince Harry buys home in Britain

Meghan Markle will not return to the UK even if Prince Harry moves forward with his alleged plans to buy a home in England according to a royal expert.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their shock exit from the Royal Family in 2020 and relocated to Montecito California to raise their family and build independent careers for themselves.

However, recent reports claim that Harry, 39, is now homesick and may be looking for a permanent base in the UK.

Speaking to the Express, Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said that Meghan is unlikely to make a comeback to Britain as she doesn't want to bring her young children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet across the Atlantic.

He explained: "It does seem unlikely that Meghan will be visiting Britain any time soon. The same, in the short term anyway, applies to Archie and Lili.

"I see no substance to the rumour that Harry will split his time between the United States and Britain. He has serious concerns about security and still has a case pending against the Home Office regarding this which is awaiting trial.

"It is obviously important that there is an arrangement, probably, though not necessarily with the Royal Family, which gives him a secure permanent base which he can use when he does visit Britain."

Harry and Meghan previously used Frogmore Cottage as their UK home which was gifted to them by the late Queen Elizabeth II on their wedding day.

However, they were evicted from the property earlier this year by King Charles following the release of Prince Harry's controversial memoir Spare at the beginning of this year.

Harry has flown back to the UK on his own a handful of times this year for court hearings, as well as a whistle stop visit for his father King Charles'
