Meet the ‘drug-dealing’ mums on a mission to help people through CBD Patches

We've all heard of nicotine patches, HRT patches and even the contraceptive patch, but did you know you can now buy a CBD patch?

Joining the more-commonly known CBD products such as topical oils or edibles including gummies, the patches are transdermal, not topical. This means, the CBD actually does go directly into the body through the skin, which allows for direct application to areas you want to give extra attention.

hapihemp has added the patches to its range of CBD capsules, CBD drinks, CBD topicals and CBD oils, with founder Lorraine Clark revealing it is actually her preferred way of taking it.

"I don't really like putting the drops under my tongue, so I like to use the patches," she said. "CBD patches work by delivering a slow steady dose of CBD into the bloodstream transdermally (through the skin). They are both discreet and convenient."

Lorraine and her friend Samantha Day had both experienced ongoing struggles in their lives, but their love of CBD helped them see things in a new light and led them to start up hapihemp three years ago.

Today the business is going from strength to strength and was even chosen as one of the top 30 leading female-led CBD companies in the UK in 2021 by news site, Cannabishealthnews.co.uk.
