Medway Area Sunday League round-up (31/03/24)

There were just a handful of games in the Medway Area Sunday League over the Easter weekend.

There was no shortage of excitement in Division 5 as New Road and Caspian Tigers shared eight goals. It finished 4-4 with Sid Hopkins (2), Jamie Passfield and Fin Grundy on target for Caspian.

River lost 5-0 to Strood, who had Josh Brown (3), Jack Mustoe and Leyton Davis to thank for the win.

In Division 4, Elijah Pennant’s brace was not enough for Cross Park as they went down 4-2 to Tunbury Athletic. Dominic Jones, Liam Basham, Danny Stevens and Sean Burgess did the damage.

Goals from Jack Watkin-Everitt, Swayze Whale, Devan Smith and Louie Garlinge led Pegasus 81 to a 4-2 victory in Division 3 over Medway Rovers 20.

In Division 2, Alfie Kilbey scored the only goal of the game for Bredhurst against Omega 92.

Caspian Tigers will face Strood in the Junior League Trophy final at Chatham Town’s Maidstone Road ground this Friday, April 5, kick-off 7.45pm.
