Medway Area Sunday League round-up (14/04/24)

Springhead Park were crowned Division 1 champions after winning 7-1 against Medway Sport XI.

Ainsley Linton led the way with a hat-trick, Ben Cable added a brace and Danny Hughes and Nick Merry completed the tally with Tom Lichfield replying.

Second-placed Rainham Kenilworth 2 suffered a shock 6-2 defeat to bottom side Borden Park Wanderers. Nathan Young and Louie Murrell scored for Rainham but James Hutchings (3), Liam Ogle (2) and David Cobb gave Wanderers hope of climbing out of the bottom two with two games left to play.

Charlie Hetterley scored both goals in Swallow Rise 93’s 2-0 win at FC Catalans.

Declan Cook and Harry Neill netted in Rochester’s 2-2 draw with Swanscombe Tigers, for whom Scott Goodridge scoring twice.

Caspian Tigers wrapped up the Division 5 title with a 10-0 victory over Anchorians Rovers.

Finley Grundy led the way with four goals while Reece Germano, Jamie Passfield, Sid Hopkins, Alex Carter, Lewis Mackesy and Reece David Bare also netted.
