Medway Area Sunday League round-up (15/10/23)

Danny Kedwell was on the scoresheet as Quested progressed in the Kent Sunday Premier Cup Second Round.

Kedwell netted for Quested, who won 14-1 against Star Meadow, for whom Tom Ball scored. Also on the scoresheet for Quested were Brad Shafer (5), Sam Stace (3), Kieran Sharp (2) and Harry Beech (2).

Harry Martin’s lone strike was not enough as Cuxton 91 lost 3-1 to Guru Nanak Sundays.

In the Kent Sunday Junior Cup Second Round, Adam Harding scored the only goal of the game as Eagles beat Cliffe Woods Colts A.

Michael Quinn and an own goal saw Borden Park Wanderers through, winning 2-1 over New Road Athletic.

Rochester Eagles won 4-2 on penalties after a 3-3 draw at 90 minutes with Medway Sport XI, for whom Connor Rayfield, Aaron Lorentson and Steve Coote scored.

New Inn Blues lost 4-2 to ASK Medway after Jay Walker hit a hat-trick and Harry Freeman was also on target.

Another penalty shoot-out was required in the Kent Sunday Junior Trophy Second Round. Athletic Bilbowls won 4-2 on penalties against Range Rovers Colts after a 4-4 draw, Jack Clover, Kyle Shaw, Robbie Farnham-Rose and Tom Carter were their marksmen.

Caspian Tigers lost 8-2 to Minster Village despite goals from Loz Finney and Dave English.

Park Tavern shaded Wigmore Wanderers 4-3. Wigmore’s scorers were Jack Downey, Ronnie Porter and an own goal.

In League action, Division 1 FC Catalans went down 5-3 to Rainham Kenilworth. Nathan Young (2), Yeni Yusuph, Jack White and James Downes were on the scoresheet for the victors with Sam Allen (2) and Jack Yeowell netting in reply.
