Medway Area Sunday League round-up (04/05/25)
The Walnut Tree boosted their Division 2 title hopes with a 14-3 victory over bottom side Bredhurst.
Goals came from Joe Balderston (3), Jason Yuen (4), Dave Ellis-Adam, Elliot Huitson, Brandon Walsh (2), Steven Giles (2) and Nigel Day.
Leaders Strood, who were held to a goalless draw by third-placed Caspian Tigers, now sit three points clear of The Walnut Tree, who have two games in hand.
ASK Medway won both matches of a double header over Eccles Sunday. George Burton and Packman scored for Eccles in match one but Josh Waters (2) and Bradley Killick ensured a 3-2 victory.
Josh Waters, Teddy Haysman, Jake Ford, Bradley Killick and Thomas Arnold were the ASK marksmen in game two, winning 5-1 with Toby Lindley on target in reply.
In Division 3, Pegasus boosted their title bid with a 3-2 win over Woodpecker, for whom Swayze Whale scored twice.
John Small scored the only goal of the game for Kent Marina against Hempstead United.
The Stumble won 3-0 at Omega 92 thanks to Samuel Piddock, Glen Martin and Ash Bax.
Toby Jarvis and Archie Rackley scored The Walnut Tree United goals in their 2-1 win against Rainham 84.
In Division 4, New Road Athletic won both games 3-0 against Bredhurst Juniors. In the first game, Jordan Rogers, Danny Davies and Danny Solari netted with Steve Batt joining Davies and Solari on the scoresheet in match two.
River both games of a double header, losing match one 2-0 to Wigmore Wanderers, for whom Charlie Ivey and Jack Downey scored.
Wigmore Wanderers won the second game 3-0 with goals from Ben Brewster (2) and Ronnie Porter.
In Division 5, Jay Vincent bagged a hat-trick in Dockyard United's 3-1 win against Springhead Park Reserves. It was the same scoreline in the second game with Gobz Powar, Jack
